Bio
Movie Marginalia is a project of A. M. Alcazar, a Madrid-born, film and short story writer based in the United Kingdom.
He studied English at Universidad de Alcalá (Spain) and obtained a Master's Degree in Arts Management from the University of Manchester (England).
He was introduced to screenwriting in 2014 and years later he learnt TV comedy writing from Brent Forrester (The Simpsons, The Office). Inspired by the work of Roger Ebert and by fellow film enthusiast Daisuke Beppu, he began writing pieces that reflected on the insights produced by films and cinema as an art form. He hopes these pieces document a genuine point of view and further insightful conversation on cinema.
He is currently working on his short stories in the tradition of Raymond Carver, studies Japanese, and practices secular Buddhism.
